snow on the beach

i realize it in the beach

that not all sand has glass hidden under its grain

that the oceans crash is not violent

but desperate, happy to come home again

 sad to be dragged away

i realize it in the snow

my legs spread in a snow angel

the stretch bites my thighs like a kiss

that not all pain is painful

that some cold is unbearably hot

ill realize it whenever i see you again, i hope

that writing poems and singing songs

 will never rewrite the story

 reorchestrate the fate

of sand laying on the beach

waiting to be taken back to the sea

 snow waiting under my feet

to come back to the sky

 id like to think

 you're the sand

 and in the snow

but you never knew me well enough

to give me a new name to know

 but fuck, i felt you

 like sand feels the ocean

 coursing on its skin

Whenever I'm not bashing math psets, playing minecraft, or learning a new piece on my piano, I'm writing another story or corny piece of poetry.

This little website is my collection, and I thank you for stopping by c:
